Lots of pain,very little sleep
and no desire to eat much
equals
one very
messed up weekend.
And the bad part is by being one of the many who has no insurance all I can do is keep the tylenol handy and hope it goes away soon. Things are a little better today, but until this clears up to where I can concentrate again I'm not sure when I'll be posting again.
Hopefully it won't be long.....hopefully.
That's it for now. Later.

I was sitting here the other day wondering where September went when I realized that after this weekend October will also be all but history. Damn but time seems to be flying by.Also this weekend brings about two special occasions. One special occasion for the children and the other for us adults. Those being Halloween and the end of daylight savings time.
So go out and have yourselves a good weekend. And don't forget to take back that extra hour of sleep mother nature stole from us last April. Also watch out for and most importantly watch over those youngsters as they head out on their quest for candy this Halloween.

Somehow I need to figure out things to do around here. I need to get out more before I become a prisoner of this apartment. Thing is there just isn't much to do in this small little town I live in, and with the price of gas as high as it is driving to other towns just to do something isn't really feasible. Guess I'll just have to get a little creative huh.I took out afoot this morning heading for the store and to just walk around. This is something I'm intending to much more of, walking that is. I want to try and use my car as little as possible. Call it my little contribution to conserving gas. Of course this will be tested shortly with the onset of the cold weather. Still I intend to try my best.

I took a walk around the neighborhood today looking to catch the colors of the new season. And though we are in the midst of an Indian Summer....Autumn is in the air.

This post is filed under what the hell were they thinking or our tax dollars at work. Below is a picture of the gold plated water fountain the plumbers installed in the labor and delivery wing we are remodeling at the army hospital.
Yep, I said gold plated. Now I can understand wanting something nice....but a gold plated drinking fountain??
Oh well they don't pay us to question their designs but rather to build and install.

If there's anything worse then unexpected surprises it's unexpected surprises that lead to unexpected expenditures. That's exactly what happened to me this weekend. It all started when I turned on my cam Saturday to review some pic's I had on it and the LCD view finder looked like a shattered window. (See pic below.) Yep my Sony Cybershot's view finder shot craps. Seems it would still take pictures, but I could no longer review the pic's or change the settings. So yesterday I headed down to Wal-Mart with the intent of getting a new camera. After looking from camera to camera I finally settled on the Kodak CX7330 3MP camera. So I'm back into picture taking again. Well, as soon as I figure out the settings on the new cam that is.Aside from that the rest of my weekend wasn't that bad, a little house cleaning, a little football and a whole lot of R&R. Hope your weekend went good.

Lately with the end of each week bringing a conclusion to another phase of the construction one thing I'm becoming good at is multi-tasking. While I concentrate on the one or maybe even two things I'm trying to get done one part of my brain is continuing to take yet more requests and field questions; while another part of my brain is putting together the plan needed to move onto the next item needing done or answer to be given. Needless to say this creates a rather hectic pace on the job, which is ok as it keeps the day moving along. To a point that is.
Today I heard my boss describe me as the resident miracle worker, which for the most part makes me feel worth while. But I must admit there are times when I just want to scream time out!!

Since it was a cool and drizzly day I spent the first half of the weekend in the shelter of my apartment. The weather cleared up on Sunday but there still wasn't much happening. I guess that's the price ya pay when living in a small town. So I did the next best thing when I want to get out and about. I grabbed my cam and set out on foot to walk about town taking pic's.And well, right now I'm stuck trying to figure out what to write next, so I hope you enjoy the pic's.
That's it for now. Later.
